Christian Faith Tabernacle and Outreach Ministries is a Christ-centered, Bible-based ministry focused on touching and transforming lives by discipling, equipping, and empowering Christians to do God’s will for His purpose of expanding the Kingdom in the San Antonio area, its surrounding communities, and throughout the world.
Our History
Christian Faith Tabernacle (CFT) was born in the mind and heart of the young Minister Billy Cheatum after his conversion and acceptance of God’s call to ministry as a Pastor in 1986.
After retiring from thirty-years of military service, The Cheatum family began attending Texas Christian Fellowship (TCF) under the pastoral leadership of Dr. Dorian Williams. Not long after, Elder Cheatum felt led by God to start a ministry of his own.
On August 20, 2017, CFT was officially launched and established as a “Home Ministry” and had their first worship service with, seventeen people in attendance. CFT remained a “Home Ministry” for 2 1/2 years before acquiring and converting a storefront building into a beautiful place of fellowship and worship.
CFT is a Bible-based Christian fellowship that believes in spreading the gospel around the world through biblical truths in accordance with the Word of God. Although CFT currently worships in a beautiful brick-and-mortar building, it will always be rooted in humble beginnings with people at the center of our service.
CFT is covered and governed by United Christian Ministers Association.
